The EREA+ Forum positions Barbastro as the capital of rural entrepreneurship
On March 25, the first edition of the Forum of Rural Entrepreneurship and Innovation EREA+ was held in Barbastro. This initiative, promoted by the Fundación Aragón Emprende, aims to promote entrepreneurship in Aragón, contribute to the development of the territories and address the challenge of depopulation in rural areas.
Experiences on growth and innovation in the rural environment
Jesús Ibáñez, CEO of SPHERAG, was invited on this occasion to participate in a round table under the title “Growth and innovation from the rural environment” moderated by Pablo Maderuelo, journalist and director of the executive committee of Vivaces, and in which he shared the microphone with Ana M. Molina, CEO and founder of Grodi Tech and Etien Aldea, business and marketing director of Embou.
One of the topics addressed at this round table of experiences was the digitization of the primary sector and the role of innovative technologies as tools to respond to challenges such as generational replacement, depopulation or sustainable management of natural resources, such as water.
Technology as a strategic tool to address the challenges of rural areas
The primary sector, and therefore the rural environment, is directly affected by the problem of water scarcity, in addition to others such as the digital divide, high production costs or the lack of attractiveness of the agricultural sector for young entrepreneurs.
The global solution designed by SPHERAG contributes to efficiently address these challenges thanks to its simplicity of installation and operation, even by users without advanced technological knowledge.
At SPHERAG we are very proud to lead a global project with Aragonese roots. We are happy to see how institutions are working to promote local talent with initiatives such as the EREA+ Rural Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum. Thanks to Fundación Aragón Emprende for the invitation.
