Management of the irrigation campaign in the Canal of Aragon and Catalonia

The General Irrigation District of the Aragon and Catalonia Canal has organized the XIII Institutional Conference under the title “Irrigation management in the Aragon and Catalonia Canal” in which SPHERAG has participated as a sponsor of the event.  

It has addressed crucial issues such as the present and future of the sector and current issues in the irrigable area of the CAyC.  

Among the audience were the presidents and governing boards of the 129 irrigation districts integrated in the General Community of Irrigators of the CAyC, as well as a large number of farmers and companies. This massive attendance demonstrates the enormous interest generated in the sector by the new strategies and technological improvements for water management. 

Modernization of irrigation and sustainable water management

There is no future without responsible water management, this is the transversal idea that has been present in the interventions of the XIII Institutional Day organized today by the General Community of Irrigators of the Canal of Aragon and Catalonia.  

In his speech, Juan Valero de Palma, president of FENACORE (National Federation of Irrigation Communities of Spain) highlighted how the modernization of irrigation promoted by PERTE is helping to save water in irrigation districts, as is the case of the Canal of Aragon and Catalonia.  

SPHERAG’s solution for the simple digitization of irrigation networks has aroused the curiosity of farmers who did not know us yet, and the interest in the new features of those who are already loyal customers of our technology.  

It has been a very interesting day, in which we have gathered a lot of enriching inputs, thanks to CAyC for the fantastic organization of the event!
