1st National Congress of Magos Irrigation Systems
It’s always a pleasure to travel to Portugal, especially to participate in the 1st National Congress of Magos Irrigation Systems, a leading company in irrigation systems for agriculture.
This event was held on October 18, 2024, at the Hotel Santarém, and included several round tables and discussion spaces on current agricultural topics. The world’s largest irrigation equipment manufacturers took part in these discussions. The program was intense and highly interesting, providing us with the opportunity to learn about new technological proposals and the latest trends in precision irrigation.
At the heart of the debate were precision irrigation and the digitalization of irrigation systems as crucial tools for enhancing the competitiveness and resilience of the agricultural sector.
A key debate also took place on the National Strategy for Sustainable Water Management in Portugal, with participation from EDIA, FENAREG, and associations of irrigators and horticulturists.
It was fantastic to have this opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with the most prominent agricultural producers and entrepreneurs.

Additionally, our colleague Álvaro Velasco had the opportunity to explain in his presentation how SPHERAG’s technology allows for smart agricultural irrigation management in just two clicks.
