The third edition of the ABB Ability Digital Awards has recognized our commitment to digital transformation.
It is with great pride that our company is on a list of such distinguished award winners – Acerinox, three ministries and the Telefónica Foundation.
ABB, together with the Sustainability Excellence Club, reward SPHERAG’s innovative approach designed to help farmers implement more sustainable and efficient production processes. The jury also recognizes the strategic vision and originality of the project, as well as the social and business impact of the initiative.
Award Ceremony for the ABB Ability Digital Awards 2021
The award ceremony took place in Madrid and was broadcast via streaming on the website ww.abb.es. Juan Alfaro, Secretary General of the Sustainability Excellence Club, opened the ceremony and welcomed the attendees, which was also attended by Marc Gómez, President and CEO of ABB in Spain and President of the Sustainability Excellence Club, and Ignacio Aguado, Vice President of the Community of Madrid, who made the institutional opening remarks.
Victor Küppers, renowned lecturer on positive psychology and personal motivation, also participated in the event.
Our CEO, Jesús Ibáñez, received the award from Reyes Maroto, Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
An Award of recognized prestige
The prestige of the ABB Ability Digital Awards is endorsed by an Honorary Committee chaired by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain. The Committee is made up of the CEO of ABB, Marc Gómez and the Ministers Pedro Duque and Reyes Maroto, the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence Carmen Artigas; the Ambassadors in Spain of Sweden and Switzerland Teppo Tauriainen and Hanspeter Mock respectively; Joan Elías García, Rector of the University of Barcelona; Guillermo Cisneros, Rector of the Polytechnic University of Madrid; Javier Rodríguez Zapatero, President ISDI; and Jordi Díaz, Co-Director and Dean EADA Business School Barcelona, who reaffirmed their support for this third edition of the awards.
